Final Event Details


 
We are looking forward to seeing each of you next week! Below you will find all the information you need to help your conference experience be a smooth and enjoyable one.

 
Please download the GACEP App via iTunes or GooglePlay prior to arriving at the conference. The GACEP app will allow you to stay connected with up-to-the-minute information every day of the event with useful and collaborative features. Make sure that you use the email address provided during registration when signing in to the app.

If you do not have a device that runs on iOS or Android, you can still
 download a final agenda via this link in pdf format for your use at the conference.


Conference check-in will be 2:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 14th in the Pre-Function space next to the Hill Ballroom South on the Lobby Level. A hotel map can be found in the app. If you miss conference check-in, feel free to join us for the opening welcome reception in the Hill Ballroom Central from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Find a GACEP team member and we'll be happy to retrieve your badge.
 
As we near the event, there are a few items to note that will help us take care of you to the best of our abilities during the conference.
  • Newcomers Orientation 5:00-6:00 pm hosted by Derse in Hill Ballroom South: If this is your first GACEP conference, this orientation is a great opportunity to learn how to best navigate the conference, get to know your fellow first-timers, and meet members of GACEP’s Advisory Board.
  • Your Workshop Choices and Participant Roster: Please check the workshops you chose during registration now to confirm those are the workshops you wish to take. You do this by viewing your course list in the "My Agenda" section of the app or via the conference participant link that was included in the "Final Details" email. If you wish to change workshops, please email info@gacep.com by EOB Thursday, September 25th.
  • Dietary: If you provided special dietary requirements during registration, we've informed our various conference caterers. If something is served that doesn't meet your dietary needs, just let a server know your requirements. 
  • Tour Day: Your Tour Day group assignment can be found in the conference participant link that was included in the "Final Details" email. The Tour Day schedule is here. You will have a number on your conference badge indicating your bus assignment. Buses will board at 7:15 am from the lobby and depart at 7:25 am sharp. Please be on time to avoid being left behind. We will return to the Carolina Inn by 12:05 pm.
  • Free Night and Area Dining: You'll find a list of area dining in the FAQ section of your GACEP Conference App.
  • Primary Conference Location: The Carolina Inn is at 211 Pittsboro St, Chapel Hill, NC 27516 and is the primary location of the 2025 GACEP Fall Workshop Series.
  • Free Wifi in guest rooms and meeting space: If you are staying at the Carolina Inn, your guest room Wifi is free of charge. Meeting space Wifi is sponsored by ENVOY. Credentials will be provided during conference check-in.
  • Dress: Dress throughout the entire conference is business casual. During the conference, we recommend that you dress in layers for sessions as hotel meeting room temperatures can vary greatly. Feel free to dress casually at Wednesday's evening of BBQ & Bluegrass!
