Characteristics of World Class Programs

Launching a new program? Hoping to raise your program to the next level? These standards of World Class Programs were developed by the Global Association of Customer Engagement Professionals (GACEP, formerly ABPM)'s founder in 1994 and are continually monitored and revised by GACEP's Advisory Board (most recently revised by the board and thought leaders in December of 2022). If you are just starting a program, this is the best place to start as you plan a well-rounded and highly effective program. If you have a briefing/customer engagement program in place, we encourage you and your team to make it a regular initiative to rate your program on each of the characteristics, assess where opportunities for improvement exist, and set to work taking your program to the next level. World Class Awards Program

Congratulations to the 2025 GACEP (formerly ABPM) Award-Winning Recipients. We so enjoyed celebrating you! We always look forward to the annual ceremony because it provides the opportunity to honor World Class achievement in Program excellence and Center design. We were also thrilled to celebrate programs recognized for Momentum, both in the "reinvented program" and "new program" categories, as well as our 2025 President's Service Award, 2025 Lifetime Service Award, and 2025 ACE Award recipients. Looking for the World Class Briefing Awards "Call for Entries" for Program and/or Center? The Call for Entries for the 2026 awards will be released in June, 2025 (submission deadline Thursday, October 16, 2025). World Class awards in the program categories will be given for Analytics, Customer Experience, Management, and Measurement. Those programs recognized as World Class in all four program categories will also be recognized as World Class Programs. The World Class Center award will continue as will the Momentum Award for the young program best demonstrating it's on a fast track to World Class. "Call for Entries" for all of the above can be found on this page.
